She was my 9th grade English teacher at Floyd Central, and was one of the best teachers I ever had throughout grade school, junior high, high school, and college. I learned proper English from her that I benefit from to this day. My condolences to her family.

Mrs. Schlageter was one of my favorite teachers. I had her for both English and Spanish my freshman year and I was her teacher's aide my junior year. One of my fondest memories was making a pinata which she hung in her classroom. She really cared about her students. Fly high!

Mrs. Schlageter was the best teacher that I had at Floyd Central. She was constantly challenging me to do my best. She gave us a lot of little songs and rhymes to help us remember all the rules. When I was in the class it was always difficult and it wasn't until later that I realized what an amazing teacher that she had been. As a grandfather now, I find myself repeating the full I before E rhyme to my children and grandchildren. Everyone laughs when I do the whole rhyme and all the exceptions. She was a great lady and I will miss her dearly.
