Jean Batliner, age 95, passed away on Friday, August 8, 2025. Jean was born in London, Kentucky on September 8, 1929 to the late William and Edna Mae (Hibbard) House. She retired after 25 years at the old ICI Powder Plant in Charlestown, Indiana.
Jean is survived by her husband of 52 years, James Batliner; daughters, Angela Torres, Kindre Batliner; grandchildren, Brandon Wilson, Brittany Carter, Sara Reid; great grandchildren, Kaiya Wilson, Corinne Wilson, Kash Reid, and Perri Jo Reid.
A visitation for Jean will be held Monday, August 11, 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, IN 47150. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, August 12, 2025 at 10:00 AM, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, IN 47150. Jean will be laid to rest at St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Cemetery in Floyds Knobs, Indiana.
