Jeffery Lee Cooke

Jeffery "Jeff" Lee Cooke, age 62, of New Albany, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, January 24, 2024. Jeff was born in New Albany to Elbert and Naomi (Turner) Cooke. Jeff loved his family and enjoyed life. Jeff was a machinist at Bert Huncilman and Son Metal Fabricators. He was a skilled tradesman and operated laser guided machinery. He started his career at the Daisy Lane Bowling Alley as a mechanic. Jeff loved to play games and use his competitive spirit to win! He enjoyed the outdoors and fishing. Jeff loved cats and squirrels and especially liked to babysit his sisters cats. Jeff used his talents to build a fox hole radio from scratch. Jeff was preceded in death by his loving parents; his brother, Kenneth (Kenny) E. Cooke; and his grandson, Broxton Farnsley. Jeff is survived by his brothers and sisters; Billy (Carolyn) Cooke, Gloria Smith, Diana (Ralph) Adams, Tony (Cecilia) Cooke, Angela "Angie" (Tony) Schmidt, and Tim Cooke; children, Jeffery Cooke, Jessica Farnsley, and Joseph "Joey" Cooke; grandchildren, Grayson, Adeline, Harper Farnsley; and several nieces and nephews. His Visitation will be at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana from 10:00-12:00 pm Saturday, February 3rd, 2024. Funeral Service will be at 12:00pm at the funeral home with entombment to follow in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park. A meal in his honor will immediately follow his entombment at Trinity United Methodist Church, 2796 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana.
