

Dr. Jerry Shannon Dehn, 85, passed away peacefully Sunday in the home of his son in Frankfort, Indiana. He was born in New Albany, Indiana, on November, 02, 1939, to the late Leonard Keith and Edith Eleene Voyles Dehn. He was a lifetime UMC Minister. During his life, he served as a pastor for the United Methodist Church in Georgia and Indiana, retiring from New Chapel Church in Jeffersonville, Indiana. He was also an adjunct faculty at Saint Joseph College, Purdue University, Indiana University Southeast, and the University of Louisville. His education was from Indiana University, Asbury College, Candler Seminary, Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary, and Depauw University, with a PhD from Purdue University. He was a loving father, grandfather, and brother.
Jerry was preceded in death by his wife Joyce Watson Dehn, brother Ronald Dehn and his wife Judy Dehn.

1 brother: William Dehn (Debbie)
1 sister: Sherry LaDuke (Jim)
2 sons: Daniel (Jennifer) and Stephen (Emily)
5 grandchildren: Austin, Kamryn, Baylee, Keely, and Kolby.

A visitation celebrating Jerry’s life will be held from 12:00-3:00 p.m. Sunday June 1, 2025, at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana. A private entombment will be held at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.
