Jerry D. Jenkins

Jerry D. Jenkins, 80, of New Albany, Indiana passed away September 3, 2020 at Baptist Health Floyd. He was born on July 14, 1940 in New Albany, Indiana to the late Paul D. and Bertha Dailey Jenkins. He was retired from Pillsbury with over 40 years of service and was a veteran in the United States Army. He was a member of the American Legion Bonnie Sloan Post #28 and the VFW Post Hobart Beach Post #1693. In addition to his parents, Jerry is preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Jenkins; and two siblings, Bill Jenkins and Patrick Jenkins. He is survived by a daughter, Susie Jenkins; a son, Gary Jenkins; six grandchildren, Miranda, Michael, Mason, Morgan, Meghan and Mackenzie; seven great-grandchildren; and three siblings, Kathy Smith, Dennis (Kathy) Jenkins and Pamela Pope; Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 and from 10-12 on Wednesday, September 9, 2020 both at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road. Funeral Service will be conducted at Noon on Wednesday, September 9, 2020 with military honors. Entombment will follow in Kraft Graceland Memorial Park.
