I have just read all the wonderful testimonies about my cousin,Jerry. He was born on my birthday and we always talked about that at reunions. He was truly one of the good guys. I’m so grateful he was my cousin. He will be sorely missed by family and friends.
My love to Diane and all his family.

We are heartbroken at Jerry’s passing. Jerry and Diane were wonderful neighbors to us for over 30 years. Jerry and Al worked at IH together and Jerry’s the reason Al bought land to build a house nearby. They drove back and forth to work everyday for years. He has been a good friend and will be sorely missed. He was a treasure for Floyds Knobs, helping anyone that needed him. Our deepest sympathy to the Andres family. We love you Diane and wish we could be there for you. We will be praying for you.

I am trying to think of how many generation our families have known each other. I think we might be the fourth generation. I'm the baby of my generation and I have had the pleasure of living in the knobs and knowing the Andres Family all of my years. I have heard and remembered many family stories and I am hard pressed to find just one to write about. This one is the one I remember the best. I was with my Uncle and Aunt's at Atkins Cemetery helping mown and clean up after a storm. Bill Andre's and Waco stopped to talk to my uncle Raymond on the way to town. They chatted for a while as farmers will do and then they headed on to town. In those days we mowed with a couple of push mowers and an old snapper riding lawn mower and it took several hours to get the cemetery looking nice. Bill and Waco came back from town and stopped again bringing us ice cold cokes and a donut each for Bill Bailey's donuts. To this day I remember how good that donut and that little coke in the bottle was. Those were good times. You worked hard, you had good neighbors and you helped each other out. My heart goes out to Diane, Phyllis and Chad, to Denny and to all of the Andres family. Go rest high on that mountain, your work on earth is done.

Great neighbor and friend! What a fun guy who had a contagious smile, laugh, and a genuine interest in others. So grateful for the time he so generously and selflessly gave me and my family. The love of vintage cars was always strong on Atkins Rd! Jerry is already so missed. (Thinking about my sweet friend, Diane!!! Love her to pieces!)

The loss of "Waco", will undoubtedly affect so many people. Me? It leaves me speechless. I take from this, his smile, and his magnetic personality. Honored, I have that gift. Rest well Waco, rest easy Diane.

I'm sorry I didn't have opportunity to meet Jerry. I met Dennis (Denny) across the road. The VonAllman grandchildren, Denny & myself at the pond swimming, when we were young.
I pray for peace & strength. To be with his family during their mourning.

Jerry Andres will certainly be missed by our family. He and my husband, Jerome Eberle, were not only first cousins, but they were born exactly 1 week apart. They remained close for the next 69 years. Jerry was Godfather to our youngest son, Logan Eberle, and always managed to find the biggest chocolate Easter bunny imaginable for that child. Our older boys, Bill and Nathan, also thought the world of Jerry and witnessed both his strong work ethic and his fun-loving nature. Many church picnics and camping trips were shared and are treasured memories for our families. Diane and all of the Andres family will remain in our prayers and continue to be a part of our lives as we go forward. Yes, we will miss Jerry very much.
