Jimmy was a loving husband, dad, "Grampy", "Bimpy", brother, uncle, and friend to everyone he met. He retired from Duke Energy after 45 years of service. Jimmy liked watching his grandsons play sports and spending time with them. He also enjoyed cruising with his family, and taking trips to the casino alongside his wife to gamble.
Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Aline Spears; Brothers, Buck and Larry Spears; and sisters, Betty Hampton and Barbara Haley.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Terri Spears; his son, Jason (Ashley) Spears; his daughter, Amber (Bristan) Kelley; his grandsons, Austin, Nolan, and Jaxon Spears, and Camdan and Claytan Kelley; his brother, Steve (Diane) Spears; his sisters, Mary Kingsley Berry and Kathy Spears; his sisters-in-law, Susie Spears, Vicki Spears, and Tracy (David) Rodriguez; his mother-in-law, Joan Conrad; and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on Tuesday, June 16, from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday, June 17, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Kraft Funeral Home. A funeral service celebrating his life will be held at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Following the service, he will be laid to rest at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.
