Jo Ellen "Jody" Stumler, 70 years of age passed away at home peacefully on Saturday, August 12, 2023. She was born on August 1, 1953 in New Albany, Indiana to the late Pat and Joyce Nicholson. Jo loved to travel the world and enjoyed spending time with her family. She NEVER missed an episode of the Young and the Restless, which she referred to as "my story". She was a passionate fan of Kentucky Basketball and attended multiple NCAA Final Fours. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Darrell "Darry" Nicholson.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Larry Stumler; children, Lori Kraemer (Steven), Lisa Lynch (Dennis), Patrick Stumler (Kari); grandchildren, Conner Lynch, Sophia Lynch, Lola Lynch, Benjamin Stumler, Lukas Kraemer, Oliver Stumler; great grandchildren, Kynleigh, Theodore, Walker, and soon to be born, Anderson.
Visitation will be held 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm Wednesday at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana. Her Funeral Mass will be 11:00 am Thursday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 8310 St. John Road, Starlight, Indiana.
Jo will be laid to rest in St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery, 8310 St. John Road, Starlight, Indiana.
