Jo Ann Flinchum, age 87, of New Albany, Indiana passed away on Saturday, July 8, 2023. She was born on November 24, 1935, to the late David F. and Martha J. (Welch) Hanna. Jo Ann was married to her loving husband, the late Burtis Neil Flinchum until his passing in 1996. Jo Ann worked as a stenographer for the Federal Bureau of Investigation until deciding to become a full-time mother to their one daughter, Theresa Ward.
In Jo Ann’s spare time, she enjoyed anything mysterious, from reading a good book or watching a mystery show on TV. She also loved playing her hand of luck at the casino playing the slots or a good game of cards.
Along with her parents, Jo Ann is preceded in death by her husband, Burtis Neil Flinchum.
She leaves behind her daughter, Theresa Ward; and granddaughter, Jordan Ward.
A memorial visitation for Jo Ann will be held Friday, July 14, 2023, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Rd, New Albany, Indiana 47150, followed by a memorial service at 6:00 PM.
