

Joan A. (Curry) Ansert 72 years of age passed away Saturday, October 10, 2015 at Floyd Memorial hospital in New Albany, Indiana. She was born January 22, 1943, in Louisville, KY to the late Raymond “Zeke” and Catherine Curry. Joan was a 1961 graduate of Mercy Academy and later graduated from Spencerian Business College. She was the owner of Ansert Mechanical Contractors for over 27 years where she also served as secretary and accountant. Joan was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Navilleton, IN, the Parents Athletic Association at Floyd Central High School, and the Indiana Business Women’s Club where she received the Woman of the Year Award, and also served as the financial Secretary for the Highlander Youth League. She was preceded in death by her husband Donald Ansert Sr., and her sisters Mary May, and Judy Welsh.

Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm Monday at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 am Tuesday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Navilleton, IN with burial to follow in Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Louisville, KY
