John C. Bowman

John Charles Bowman, 81, passed away Monday, March 19, 2018. The son of the late William T. and Minnie V. (Shetter) Bowman, John was born July 15, 1936 in New Albany. He was a 1955 graduate of New Albany High School, a U.S. Air Force veteran, and retired from Colgate after 30 years of service. John was a member of First Church of the Nazarene in New Albany, the Masonic Lodge 39 in New Albany, the Division 8 Model Railroad Club, and the LCL Model Train Club. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Dorothy Rissler Bowman; daughter, Linda Robison (David); grandsons, Robert and Joshua Cobb; and 4 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 3 pm until 8 pm Thursday, March 22nd, and after 10 am Friday, March 23rd, at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana. His Funeral Service will be conducted at 12 pm Friday, March 23rd, in the Kraft Charlestown Road Chapel with private burial to follow in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park, New Albany.
