

Funeral services for John E. Ingle, 86, of Sellersburg, will be at 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 9, at Kraft Funeral Service, Charlestown Road Chapel, New Albany, with full military honors. Private entombment will follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park Garden of Angels Mausoleum in New Albany. He died Thursday, Jan. 5, 2012, at University Hospital in Louisville.
He was born Dec. 16, 1925 in French Lick, to the late John T. and Geneva Humphrey Ingle. He was the owner and operator of Ingle’s Heating and Cooling in New Albany for some 46 years until his retirement. He was an Army veteran of World War II serving in both the Pacific and Philippines. He was a member of V.F.W. Hobart Beach Post 1693 and Bonnie Sloan Post 28 American Legion.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Mary E. Landers Ingle; daughter, Brenda Slusser and her fiancee, Michael J. Labosky Sr., of Beavercreek, Ohio; son, Ronald Ingle and his fiancee, Jackie Bracket, of Memphis; four grandchildren, Clint and his wife, Kim, Shawna and her husband, Josh, Brandi and her husband, Aaron, and Brittany and her husband, Logan; 10 great-grandchildren, Katlin, Kyle, Alec, Emily, Jenna, Samantha, Micah, Kindle, Kendra and Brooklyn; three brothers, Bryce Ingle and his wife, Reba, Verle “Bud” Ingle and his wife, Harriet, and Eugene Ingle; and one sister, Vera Shipley.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Bob, Thurman and Carl Ingle; and a son-in-law, Charles R. Slusser.
Visitation will be from noon to 6 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home.
