John J. Jescovitch, 70, died Monday, January 25, 2016 at Floyd Memorial Hospital in New Albany. He was born November 21, 1945 in Scranton, Pennsylvania to the late John and Agnes (Kane) Jescovitch. He is also preceded in death by his brother, Anthony Jescovitch. He served in the Army during Vietnam, enjoyed golfing, playing cards, trips to the casino, walking his dog, and was an IU fan.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Lenona (Griesinger) Jescovitch; children, Bryan McRae and his wife, Janet, Misty Rathgeber and her husband, David, Bobbi Adams and her husband, Brian, Johnny Jescovitch and his wife, Diana, and Kristie Schafer and her husband, Chip; siblings, Shirley Sable and her husband, John of Dover, New Hampshire, Helene Brayer and her husband, Richard of Scranton, Pennsylvania, Debbie Wright and her husband, Thom of New Milford, Pennsylvania, and David Jescovitch and his wife, Teresa of Mt. Pocono, Pennsylvania; sister-in-law, Brenda Jescovitch of Baltimore, Maryland; grandchildren, Christian Gentry and her husband, Carl, Jessica Hobbs and her husband, Jason, and Jacob Schafer; great grandchildren, Cayden and Kimberly Gentry and one on the way; and his faithful dog, Baby.
Visitation will be from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm Friday and after 9:00 am Saturday at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana. His Funeral Service will be 11:00 am Saturday at the funeral home chapel with private entombment to follow in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany, Indiana.
