John William Malone, 77, passed away on September 30, 2026, in Bedford, Kentucky. John was born on April 8, 1949, to the late Jean Phillip Malone and Bessie (Horvath) Malone. John was a graduate of Western Kentucky University. He was a proud singer with the Kentucky Opera Company. John retired as a music teacher from North Harrison Community Schools.
John is preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife of 53 years, Anne Christie Malone;
John is survived by his daughters, Amy Vance (Jeffrey) and Martha Loomis (Trevor); his grandchildren, John, Harrison, Alexandria, Holton, and Hunter; a brother, Phillip Malone; and many extended family and friends.
A visitation will be held at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana, on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm.
A funeral service will take place at Kraft Funeral Service on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at 1:00 pm, with Pastor Tony Alstott officiating. His burial will take place at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park, New Albany, Indiana.
In place of flowers, the family asks for expressions of sympathy to be made to Habitat for Humanity of Metro Louisville.
