John was a native of Trussville, AL, a veteran of World War II, and was a retired TV engineer after 35 years from WHAS 11 in Louisville. He was a member of the Clark County, Indiana and the Birmingham, Alabama Amateur Radio Clubs.
Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Betty Ann Brewer McCrory; daughter, Holly Haggard (Doug) of New Salisbury, IN; son, John M. McCrory, Jr. (Sylvia) of Panama City, FL; grandchildren, Cameron Arbuckle, Troy Haggard, Lonnie Norrenbrock; great-grandchildren, Morgan Arbuckle, Mathew Arbuckle and Tyler Norrenbrock.
His funeral service will be 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, October 7, 2010 at the Kraft Charlestown Rd. Chapel with private entombment to follow in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park. Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Wednesday, October 6, 2010, at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, IN.
