John was preceded in death by his loving wife Wilma J. Patrick (Shepard), his father Floyd Patrick, and mother Evelyn Patrick.
John was raised by Herb & Virginia Lomax of Memphis, and is survived by siblings Butch and Warren Earl.
John is survived by his daughters, Deborah (Robert) Belden, Jody (Bryan) Adams and four grandchildren David Snelling (Indianapolis), Sean Belden (Georgetown), Andrew Adams (Lexington), and Jacob Adams (Lexington).
John retired from Pillsbury, and previously worked for many years in the printing industry.
On most days you could find him cutting the grass and visiting with his mother-in-law in Memphis. John was an amazing photographer and enjoyed taking wildlife photos along with being an expert craftsman, making birdhouses for fun. He was blessed with daughters then doubly blessed with four grandsons who enjoyed hanging out with their Papaw. Although his journey was never easy, he always stood tall and moved forward. If he didn’t like where things were going, he would pack up his toolbox and carry on. Special love and thanks to Alan Lomax for all the love and companionship you gave so freely to your big brother these last few years.
