Jolanda "Jo" Shireman

Jolanda “Jo” Shireman, 92 years of age, passed away August 9, 2018 in New Albany, Indiana. She was born February 8, 1926 in New Albany to the late Albert and Lou Kitterman and was preceded in death by her husband Rudy, son Michael, sister Valeria Franklin and son-in-law Lee Gehres. Jo retired from Indiana University Southeast and was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church for over 50 years. She is survived by her children, Marilou Kruer (Edward), Marcia Miller (Pat), Melissa Gehres, Martin Shireman (Bonnie), Matthew Shireman (Johna), and Mark Shireman (Candace), 15 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm Monday at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring Street, New Albany, Indiana. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 am Tuesday at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 1752 Scheller Lane, New Albany, Indiana with burial to follow at Holy Trinity Cemetery in New Albany.
