

A memorial service for Joseph F. Iles, 84, of Floyds Knobs, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 28, at Edwardsville United Methodist Church, with a reception to follow. He died Tuesday, April 24, 2012, at his residence in Floyds Knobs.
He was born Aug. 15,1927, in Montgomery County, to the late Claud and Mary E. Kemble Iles and was a former resident of Lafayette, for some 20 years. He married Juanita M. Bailiff on Nov. 22, 1952, to whom he was married to for some 60 years and was a retired employee of 35 years with the railroad company. He was a member of Edwardsville United Methodist Church, the Floyds Knobs Community Club and the Georgetown Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Juanita Marie Bailiff Iles; seven children, Joseph Michael Iles, of Lafayette, Vicki Lynn Yoder, of Walkerton, David R. Iles and his wife, Vicki, of Lafayette, Daniel W. Iles and his wife, Peggy, of Floyds Knobs, Phyllis M. Gregory and her husband, David, of Georgetown, Richard S. Iles, of Fairdale, Ky., and Anita J. Striegel and her husband, Joe, of Corydon; a sister, Mildred Amos, of W. Lafayette; 18 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Helen Fulks; and brother, Walter Iles.
Cremation has been chosen with Kraft Funeral Service, Spring Street Chapel, New Albany, in charge of arrangements.
The family requests expressions of sympathy can go to his church, American Heart Association or American Cancer Society.
A reception and memorial service will also be held later in Lafayette, at a date and time to be announced.
