Joseph King

Joseph F. King, 78 years of age died Monday, March 3, 2019. He was born March 22, 1940 to the late George M. and Flora (Pyke) King and was a self-employed Mechanic prior to his retirement. Joseph was the widower of his wife of 39 years Marietta who died March 27, 2015. He loved the outdoors, hunting and especially fishing.

Survivors include three children, Stephen Ray, Claudette Rene’, Crystal Dawn King; five grandchildren, ten great grandchildren; four sisters, Bonnie Lou Graver, Violet Engle (Clyde), Viola Baugh, Hilda Elmore (Mike); several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until 3:00 pm Friday March 8th, at Kraft Funeral Service 2776 Charlestown Rd. in New Albany with Funeral Service at 3:00 pm in the Kraft Funeral Service Chapel. Burial will follow at Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Jeffersonville, Indiana. Online condolences to: www.kraftfuneralservice.net

When I was little NaNa and Uncle Joe would watch me while my parents worked! We would leave in the morning and go to yard sales all day! I thought it was fun and exciting. Uncle Joe taught me how to hagel the prices down by just watching him! Rest well Uncle Joe! I love you!

BOB AND I ALWAYS HUNG OUT WITH JOE AND MARRIETTA. BOB AND JOE WOULD ALWAYS GO HUNTING OR FISHING. ME AND MARRIETTA WOULD PLAY CARDS AND EAT CORN-ON-THECOB ALL NIGHT. BOB AND MARRIETTA IS GONE ON TO HEAVEN. NOW JOE IS UP THERE WITH THEM. I SEND MY PRAYERS AND LOVE TO THE FAMILY AND FRIENDS. JOE TELL BOB AND MARRIETTA I MISS THEM.

There was not a better man than my papaw. He was/is loved and missed by many. He was also preceded in death by 2 sons, Frankie Joe and Marion Lee King. I love and miss you so much papaw. Nothin will ever be the same without you.
