Judith A. Barker

Judith "Judy" Ann (Schulz) Barker, 84 years of age passed away on December 24, 2025. She was born on August 16, 1941, in New Albany, Indiana to the late Philip "Bus" Isadore and Anna Belle (McKnight) Schulz.

Judy is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Sherman Barker Jr., December 13, 1962, and a brother, Ronald P. Schulz.

She is survived by her daughters, Terri L. (Barker) Long (Mike) and Cindy A. Barker; grandchildren, Phillip M. Long and Nathan P. Long; a great grandson, Beau R. Long; and a brother, Walter J. Schulz (Kacy).

Judy retired from both Indiana University Southeast and Ivy Tech Community College. She was an avid reader, enjoyed traveling, sitting on the beach and most of all-- spending time with her grandson's Phillip and Nathan, whom she helped care for and loved deeply.

Visitation will be held at Kraft Funeral Service, located at 708 E. Spring Street, New Albany, Indiana, 47150, on January 5, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

Funeral service will be at 10:00 am, on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 1752 Scheller Lane, New Albany, Indiana 47150 with burial at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.
