Kathleen “Katie” Day Weinmann, 99, died Tuesday, December 20, 2016. Katie was born May 18, 1917 in Lanesville, IN to the late August and Mary Day and worked for many years at the old HA Seinsheimer Co. and M. Fine & Son both in New Albany. She was an active member at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in New Albany, where she served on the Alter Society, she was also Knights of Columbus auxiliary member. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 68 years Edward J. Weinmann, and 6 siblings.
Survivors include her brother Everett Day and his wife Pat along with many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am ~ 1:00 pm Thursday at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring St., New Albany, Indiana. Her funeral mass will be celebrated at 1:00 pm Thursday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with burial to follow at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in New Albany.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy can be made to St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
