Kathryn Judy (Abner) Mills, 81, passed on July 25, 2026, in New Albany, Indiana. She was born on October 18, 1944, in Covington, Kentucky, to the late Ernest and Cathrine Abner. Judy was a 1962 graduate of Dixie Heights High School in Edgewood, Kentucky. Judy was a longtime employee of Humana and a loving mother of five children. Judy was a devoted Christian and used her passion to write, "God is in the details."
Judy is preceded in death by her parents; an infant sister, Pauline Alberta Abner.
Judy is survived by her loving husband, James Thomas Mills Sr.; her children, James Thomas Mills Jr, Susan Marie Mills, John Lamont Mills, Michael Anthony Mills, and Mary "Beth" Elizabeth Mills Luiggi; her 12 grandchildren; her 4 great-grandchildren; her brother, Ernest Hermon; her sister, Carol Ann Abner Corrado; many friends and extended family.
A memorial visitation will be held at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church, 2100 Hwy 150, Floyds Knobs, Indiana, on August 8, 2026, in the Memorial Chapel, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm, with a memorial service at 3:00 pm.
