Kay was born on April 24, 1939, in Parkersburg, West Virginia to the late Floyd and Mabel Hamilton. She grew up in Parkersburg and Akron, Ohio. After marrying Terry Allshouse, they went on to pastor in churches in Kentucky, Ohio, and Indiana. She became “Mom” to many who walked through her doors, especially Janet, Geri, and Dan. She was loved by everyone she met.
Kay is preceded in death by her son, Scott Allshouse; her parents; her brother, Larry Hamilton, and her second husband, Martin Suffolk. She is survived by her children, Kevin Allshouse and Diane (Brian) Smallwood; grandchildren Kathy (Mike) Morris, Scott (Meagan) Smallwood, and Andrew (Rebecca) Smallwood; great-grandchildren Franklin, Charli Kay, Astrid, and Joey; as well as 6 nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Her Funeral Service will follow at 3:00 PM at the Funeral Home.
