Funeral services and military honors for Keith William Risley, 73, of Marengo, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 17, at Kraft Funeral Service, Charlestown Road Chapel, New Albany. He died Thursday April 12, 2012, at his residence in Marengo.
He was born Jan. 7, 1939 in Petersburg, to the late Richard F. and Catherine Crays Risley. He served in the U.S. Navy and later retired as Master Sergeant with the U.S. Air Force serving from 1961 through 1978. He was the widower of Peggy J. Risley who died in 1996. He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing and the serenity and beauty of nature.
Survivors include daughters, Rebecca Risley and husband, Eric McWhorter, of Clarksville, and Kathleen “Kat” Risley, of Marengo; three grandchildren, Victoria Risley, Anastasia Summers, and Malakai McWhorter; and a sister, Constance “Connie” Moss, of Oklahoma City, Okla.
Reception of family and friends will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday, and after 9 a.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home.
