Kelly Lynn Hustedt Groves (62) started singing with the choir of angels in Heaven on December 8, 2023. She was born on November 26, 1961 in Jeffersonville, Indiana to Anna and Robert Hustedt and blossomed into a loving wife, mother, sister and aunt. Kelly was united in marriage to Edward on February 11, 1989, for 34 years.
Kelly was a member of East Side Christian Church and sang with the Edwardsville United Methodist Choir. She was an HR partner with Paychex and part of the LSHRM organization. She was also the Board Secretary at Hayswood Theater and would lend her beautiful voice to many musicals at the theater.
She was preceded by parents, Anna and Robert Hustedt.
She is survived by her husband, Edward; her daughter, Ashley; her son, Andrew, and wife, Lexi; her sister, Debbie Cook, and husband Steve Cook; and brother, Mark Hustedt, and wife Stacy Hustedt and her aunt, Sharon Scanlan and husband, Jim.
Kelly was known for her sweet and kind nature. She was very talented and always smiling. She was constantly looking for ways to help others in need and volunteering where she could. Her laughter and singing will be missed by all who knew her. Her faith in her Lord and Savior was known by those who came upon her. Kelly was also known for her love of theatre and was a creative inspiration to many. Those who are survived by her will remember her joy and loving care.
Her family wishes for memorial gifts to be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Visitation for Kelly will be held Thursday, December 14, 2023 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Rd, New Albany, Indiana 47150.
Funeral service will occur Friday, December 15, 2023 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
