Kermit D. Eckert

Kermit D. Eckert, 79 years of age passed away on December 28, 2021. He was born October 5, 1942 in New Albany, IN to the late Jack and Alice Eckert. Kermit retired from Colgate Palmolive, and was a member of Northside Christian Church in New Albany. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and all things outdoors as well as traveling to all 50 states and abroad, but most of all loved spending time with his family and many friends. Along with his parents Kermit was preceded in death by his brother, Roger D. Eckert.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years Shirley (Chandler) Eckert, son, Dale Moolhuysen (Kim), daughters, Vicki Andres (Marlin), and Susan Lipps (Bobby), sisters, Bonnie Eckert and Mona Delgado (John), grandchildren, Jordan Byrd (John), Houston Andres, Hunter Poff, Noah Andres, Harrison Poff, Lydia Moolhuysen, Haley Johnson (Eli), Logan Milliner (Salena), and 3 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 10:00 am to 2:00 pm Friday, December 31, 2021 at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana. The funeral service will be 2:00 pm Friday, December 31, 2021 at the funeral home chapel.
