Larry Douglas Reynolds Sr.

Larry Douglas Reynolds Sr., 74, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Clermont, Florida, on August 19, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and kindness that touched the lives of many.

Born on January 13, 1951, Larry was known for his generous heart, quick wit, and deep devotion to his family and friends. Whether by blood or by bond, Larry made everyone feel like family — a sentiment reflected in the many lives he embraced as his own.

He was preceded in death by his father, Roy “Rye” Reynolds; stepmother, Beverly “Bev” Reynolds; stepfather, Enrico Ruocchio; sister, Janet Reynolds Cobb; and loving grandmother, Lucille “Lucy” Renshaw.

He is survived by his loving mother, Norma J. Ruocchio, age 98; devoted wife of 44 years, Donna E. Reynolds; and sisters, Tracey L. Sprigler (Matt) and Toni L. Gehlbach (Duke). He was a proud father to Robyn L. Reynolds Weigleb (Shane), Teri M. Lancaster (Chris), Michael E. McNulty, Jennifer N. Mueller (Ajay), and Larry D. Reynolds Jr. (Jessie).

Larry’s joy in life grew through his grandchildren: Ashley Wheatley-Gang, Lindsy Wheatley-Justice, Kristyn Hicks, Tilar Reynolds, Rich Marrero, Juliana Mueller, Jenna Mueller, Richie Weigleb, Riane Lancaster, Christopher Lancaster, Jonathan Mueller, Peyton Reynolds, and Brody Reynolds. He also leaves behind twelve great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless “adopted” family — especially Lisa Madden (Tony), Lisa Scott (Kevin), Paula Stetler (Stephen), Robin Cornett (Jeff), their children, and dear friends who loved him like family.

Larry’s kindness, humor, and unwavering presence made an impact that will be felt for generations. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 29, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Kraft Funeral Home, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, IN 47150. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at 11:00 AM at the same location. Larry will be laid to rest in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana 47150.
