Laura D Rodriquez

Laura Diann Rodriquez, 55 years of age passed away Saturday February 9th, 2013 surrounded by her family at the Green Valley Care Center. She was born September 25th, 1957 in Louisville, KY. to Ralph Rodriquez and Betty Maxine Brock and was a printer at several printing companies for many years in the Louisville area. Laura was preceded in death by her father Ralph; grandparents, James Mack Lambert, Clyde and Marie Collins, and Rosa Aguilar. She will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by her family, pets, and many friends.

Survivors include:

Mother: Betty Maxine Lambert Brock and stepfather George Brock

Sisters: Sharon Shope and husband Wayne

Rhonda Collins and husband Jack

Brother-in-law: Chet Ballew Sr.

Nephew: Chet Ballew Jr.

Nieces: Natalie Bennett, Rachel Bielefeld, and Rebecca Hardesty

Great Nieces: Breanna Bielefeld and Alexandria Gatton

Her Niece Dogs: Angel, Taffy, Nikki, Muffin, Heidi, Maggie, Bella, Roxie, Boo and Buttons

The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the loving staff at Floyd Memorial Hospital that continually cared for Laura throughout the years during her many hospital stays.

We could not have asked for a better group of people to care for her. We also want to acknowledge the love and support extended to us by Kim and Tammy and others from VistaCare Hospice and Green Valley Care Center for their support in the short time she was there.

Cremation was chosen. A Memorial Reception and Celebration of Life will be from 5:00pm until 7:00pm Thursday evening at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring St, New Albany. The family requests in lieu of flowers that expressions of sympathy may be made to the family.
