Leona P. Hilton Sweet

Leona P. Hilton Sweet, 69 years of age died Monday August 13th, 2012 at Floyd Memorial Hospital in New Albany. Leona was born December 15th, 1942 in Crossroads, Kentucky to the late Homer W. and Dorothy L. Martin Hilton and was the widow of Joseph Edward Sweet Sr. who died in October of 1996. She worked at Howell’s Motor Freight Company for many years and was a member of Bridge Community Church in Clarksville, IN. Leona loved to send “Just Because” cards, letters and food to many people with messages of caring and encouragement. She will be greatly missed by all her family and many friends. She was also preceded in death by two brothers Charles and Michael Ray Hilton and a sister Francis Murray.

Kathy Lyles Clarksville, Indiana

Michael Sweet (Laura) Greenville, Indiana

Twelve Grandchildren and Three Great-Grandchildren

Reception of Family and Friends will be from 2:00 pm ~ 8:00 pm Thursday and after 9:00 am Friday at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring Street, New Albany, Indiana. Her Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 noon Friday August 17th, at the Kraft Spring St. Chapel with interment in Greenlawn Cemetery in Greenville, Indiana.
