Leonard Brian Shultz passed on October 1, 2026, at the age of 71. He was born on December 22, 1954, in Bottineau, North Dakota, to the late Leonard and Shirley (Manguson) Shultz. Leonard retired from Transit Authority of River City (TARC) as a training supervisor. In his youth, he participated in Little League Baseball and Boy Scouts of America, and loved reading, nature, gardening, wood working, and his family. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Shultz.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Mary Ann (Bower) Shultz; children, George R. Shultz (Kelly) and Stephanie A. Shultz; sister, Donna J. Herron (Mark); grandchildren, Dominic J. Shultz, Owen A. Shultz, Adeline C. Shultz, and Oliver G. Shultz.
Visitation will be held at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring Street, New Albany, Indiana 47150, on October 6, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and on October 7, 2026, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. A Funeral Service will take place at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring Street, New Albany, Indiana 47150, on October 7, 2026, at 11:00 am.
Final resting place will be at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany.
