Obituary of Lienhard Siebert
Lienhard Siebert, 72, unexpectedly passed away early Saturday morning in the presence of family at Baptist Health Floyd Hospital. Lienhard, who liked to be called Moe, was born to German immigrants Josef Karl and Hildegard Siebert on April 9th, 1952, in Corydon, Indiana. Lienhard is survived by his wife of 50 years, Robbyn Siebert and his three children and their spouses, Josef and Andrea Siebert, Rachel and Jon Camilotto and Ben Siebert and Clorissa Novak. He is also survived by his sisters, Renate Burrell, Liane Jaksch (married to Helmut Jaksch), and Ruth McNamara (married to Sean McNamara). Lienhard will continue to live on in this world through those above and through his grandchildren; Jeffrey Keen, Elijah Camilotto, Brianna Siebert, Leland Siebert, and Arya Camilotto. All of whom carry a piece of “Opa” with them and will do so forever. Lienhard will join those who have passed before him in God’s Eternal Kingdom. In Heaven he will be reunited with his parents and two older brothers: Gerd and Siegfried. There Lienhard will meet his grandson Nathanael, whom God called to His kingdom before we could experience what joy this child would bring us. Lienhard retired from The Kroger Company after 38 years as a Journeyman butcher. He was proud of the friendships and mutual respect he built with his coworkers. He spent his retirement exactly as he had hoped, with his family. He enjoyed being with his family during dinners and cookouts and taking his grandchildren to the library and local events and attractions. He also enjoyed spending his time fishing and reading. Visitation for Lienhard will be held Wednesday, July 10, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Grace Lutheran Church, 1787 Klerner Ln, New Albany, Indiana 47150 with his funeral service beginning at 2:00 PM.
