Lotus Joyce Wright, 87, died Saturday, February 20, 2016 at Green Valley Care Center in New Albany. She was born March 13, 1928 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Henry and Edna Josephine Baker James. She is also preceded in death by her husband, H. Kenneth Wright, siblings, Jacqueline Lemmon, June Garvin, Leroy James, and John Greenwell, and infant grandson, Shawn Michael McLeid. She was a member of Parkway Baptist Church and a lifetime member of VFW Lady’s Aux. #1693 in New Albany.
She is survived by her children, Robert “Bob” McLeid (Theresa) and Bonnie Lee Wright (Linda Frazier); siblings, Henrietta Crump, Henry E. James, Thomas James, and Barry James; and grandson, Jeffrey McLeid.
Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm Thursday at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana. Her Funeral Service will be 2:00 pm Thursday at the funeral home chapel with private burial to follow in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany, Indiana.
