Lucille Davis

Lucille Davis, 95, of Sellersburg, Indiana, passed away at home surrounded by her family, on July 20, 2026. Lucille was born in Bargersville, Indiana, on September 26, 1930, to the late Oliver and Mary (Childress) Miles. Lucille married Paul E. Davis on October 15, 1949, creating a life full of family and hard work. Together, they founded and operated Davis Bros Travel Plazas. Lucille had a heart for persons in need. Her generosity touched countless lives and the full impact will never be known.

Lucille is preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Paul E. Davis; her sons, Paul S. Davis, John Michael Davis, and P. Steven Davis; her four brothers and four sisters.

Lucille is survived by her children, Richard "Rick" Davis (Cathy), Donna Boesing (Joe), Joseph "Eddie" Davis, Patrick Davis (Pam), Philip Davis; her wonderful grandchildren, Matthew Davis, Brian Davis, Cortney Peskoe (Nick), Bryce Davis, Karie Davis Nozemack (Matt), Joseph Boesing (Tiffany), Benjamin Boesing, Olivia Curry (Connor), Branden Davis, Erik Davis (Sarah), Andrew Davis (Nayely), Christopher Davis (Kayla), Madelynn Johnson (Josh), Brittany Strotman (Blake), Drew Davis, and Nathan Davis; her 22 great-grandchildren and two more on the way; her brother, Jerry Miles; and many extended family and friends.

The family would love to give a special thank you to Lucille's caregivers, Anita, Sarah, Donna, Terri, Kelly, and Loretta.

A visitation will be held at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana, on Sunday, July 26, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm and on Monday, July 27, 2026, from 9:00 am to 10:30 am.

A funeral service will be held to honor Lucille at Kraft Funeral Service on Monday, July 27, 2026, at 10:30 am.

Lucille donated to needy children at Parkwood Elementary for many years. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for all expressions of sympathy to be made to Parkwood Elementary PTO for school supplies.
