Margaret “Kathryn” (Stevens) Brooks, 87 years of age died Saturday January 28, 2017 at Green Valley Care Center in New Albany. She was born August 6, 1929 in Spencer County, Kentucky to the late Raymond and Hallie (Ingram) Stevens. Kathryn was the widow of Junior F. Brooks and was a clerk with the old Wolf grocery and meat market in New Albany for many years.
She was a hard worker and homemaker who will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by her family and all who knew her.
Survivors include four children; Brenda Ruiz (Eddie), Rebecca Dunn (Wayne), Raymond Brooks and Connie Madison (Brad). Also surviving are eight grandchildren and seven greatgrandchildren.
Visitation will be from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm Monday January 30th, at Kraft Funeral Service 708 E. Spring Street in New Albany, Indiana. Her Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 pm Monday January 30th, at the Kraft Spring St. Chapel. Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery in Floyds Knobs, Indiana.
