Marian was so kind to write encouraging letters to my brother, James Coleman, for years while he was in Assisted Living. After he passed away in 2016, she started writing letters to our dad, Ted Coleman, who was also in a nursing home. He finished his course here 3/31 just a little ahead of Marian. Our family appreciates all her loving care throughout the years, faithfully sending her notes. Sending love and hugs to all the family!

My heartfelt sympathy is extended to each of you in this loss of such a dear lady. She was always thinking of others, & her letters, and her life continue to encourage us. Her struggle is over & her reward is great. From a friend/sister in Michigan, Linda Dietz

I only knew Marian for a few years. She was one of the sweetest ladies I have ever met. She will be missed but all the memories the family has will help them through this difficult time. Prayers.

Marian wrote lots of short encouraging notes to many people, including to me. I was so touched by that sweet simple act in an age when it's mostly no longer done. She was such a sweet, dear, caring soul. My love and sympathy to her family.

Although Marian was my cousin she was a lot older than I was so growing up she was more of an aunt and Gena was more of my first cousin and best friend. I spent many of weekends over at Marian and Genes house and witnessed first hand how similar their home life was to our family. Always felt love and welcomed there and loved going there. I remember one time when we were about 12 years it was Marian and Genes anniversary so Gena, Brian and Me fixed them dinner and had a table set up downstairs in the basement and we played their song "The Rain, The Park and Other Things" by the Cowsills. Don't remember what we fixed them for dinner I'm sure it was awful but both Marian and Gene acted like they enjoyed it. I will miss Marian very much but at least I still have the next best thing, Gena. Marian was so caring, encouraging and supportive and Gena is the same way. So glad she was there for me when Steve died and I'm hoping I can be her rock like she was mine.

Marian was one of a kind she stood out to me years ago when she would come to Juanita's house everyday and spend the whole day there..She would come over after she would get Brian and Gena off to school..She was always so upbeat and positive and loved to talk about God and Truth....I enjoyed being there with her she had such a genuine spirit. The most positive and influential person I know... God rest her soul I love you Marian... You were a blessing in my life and it was my honor to know you
