Marie Henize

Marie was a longtime member of Greenville Christian Church before joining Southeast Christian Church. Her faith was an important part of her life, and she cherished her church family and the relationships she built throughout the years.

Marie had a passion for gardening and was a proud Master Gardener. She was very active in the Herb Society, where she served as past president, sharing her knowledge and love of plants with others. Her creativity extended beyond the garden, as she enjoyed painting on canvas and became well known for her beautifully painted rocks. Whether tending to her garden, creating a piece of art, serving her church, or spending time with her family, Marie found joy in the things she loved and the people who surrounded her.

Above all, Marie treasured her family. She will be remembered for her loving heart, creative spirit, dedication to her faith, and the beauty she brought into the lives of those who knew her. Her love for gardening and art, along with the memories she created with her family, will remain a lasting part of her legacy.

Marie was preceded in death by her parents, John and Bula White; her husband, Henry Henize; her son, Keith Henize; her daughter-in-law, Pam Henize; and her brother, Joe White.

She is survived by her daughter, Karen Bowe (Tim); her grandchildren, Michael Larson, Ryan Larson (Cindi), and Lindsey Bowe; and her great-grandchildren, Hawthorne Larson and Sebastian Larson, who will continue to carry her memory in their hearts.
