

MARSHALL E. "BUD" FLORA, JR., 88 years of age, died October 30, 2012 in Sun City Center, Florida. The son of the late Gertrude (Keilman) and Marshall E. Flora, Sr., he was born December 8, 1923. Bud, born and raised in New Albany, Indiana, moved to Florida in 1985 after retiring from Colgate Palmolive with 38 years of service. Bud was an Army veteran of World War II. He served in the South Pacific and was in Japan at the time the treaty was signed. He was an avid golfer, belonged to local dance clubs, enjoyed traveling and loved his many friends. In later years, health problems did not allow him to continue the activities but friends and family remained foremost in his thoughts.
Bud was preceded in death by his parents; four sisters; daughter, Marsha Striegel; grandson, Todd Striegel; and granddaughter, Gina Brian.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, November 17, 2012 at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring Street, New Albany. Visitation will be at 11:00 am followed by the Memorial Service at Noon. Bud chose the dignity of cremation and will be interred at Cave Hill Cemetery at a later date.
