Martha Elizabeth Prince

Martha Elizabeth (Long) Prince of Clarksville, Indiana passed away on October 31, 2023, at the age of 99. She was born on May 5, 1924, in Norfolk Virginia to the late Samuel and Maude (Everett) Long. Martha was one of eight children. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, a past president of the AARP as well as a faithful member of Eastside Christian Church. Martha was a loving wife, mom, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed gardening, knitting hats for the children of Head Start as well as volunteering for AARP. Along with her parents, Martha is preceded in death by her husband, Nelson Prince, as well as, five brothers and two sisters. She is survived by her three daughters, Naomi Prince, Ann Gesenhues, and Valerie Prince; three grandchildren, Matthew Striegel, Mark Striegel, and Judie Malone; and three great-grandchildren, Nathan Striegel, Malachi Johnson and Nadia Johnson. A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with a brief memoriam starting a 10:15 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Martha's memory may be made to the Order of Eastern Star Masonic Home of Indiana, www.indianaoes.org.
