Mary Jean Hagan

Mary Jean Hagan, age 93 of Sellersburg, Indiana passed away peacefully in her home on Saturday, August 13, 2022. She was born on July 28, 1929, in Ferdinand, Indiana to the late Gerhard H. Oeding and Edna (Schum) Oeding. Mary was one of three siblings. She was married to the late Joseph Robert Hagan.
Mary was a loving mother, daughter, sister, and friend. She spent many hours volunteering at several Nursing homes. Mary loved music, singing, and dancing with her husband, Bob.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mary was preceded in death by a brother, Fred Oeding.
She is survived by all of her children, Daniel Joseph Hagan, Susan Ann Edelen (Allen), Michael Alan Hagan, Dennis Patrick Hagan (Kelly), and Julie Marie Bell; grandchildren, Gary Neil Medcalf (Amy), Matthew Fischer Hagan (Brandy), Megan Marie Bell (Joe), Matthew David Bell (Kinsey) Jarrod Edelen (Jennifer), and Emily Curl (Eric); great-grandchildren, Kaitlin Medcalf and Liam Fischer, Abigail, Shelby and Brody,Nicholas Elelen(Courtney), Haley Edelen; one, sister, Margie Kyle.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 21, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring Street, New Albany, Indiana 47150.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, August 22, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 1752 Scheller Lane, New Albany, Indiana, 47150 with Entombment to follow in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana. 47150.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Mary’s memory may be made to Amedisys Hospice Care at www.amedisys.com.
