Mary Lucille (Becht) Missi, 86 years of age peacefully passed away on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at the Villas of Guerin Woods in Georgetown, Indiana, with her family by her side. She was born on June 12, 1935 in Georgetown, Indiana to the late Arvil and Mary Bea (Barr) Becht. Lucille was a member of St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church and was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Donald Joseph Missi, daughters, Deborah Naville, Laura Engle, grandchildren, Brian Missi, Susan Winburn, brother, Richard Becht.
She is survived by her children, Richard, Sr. (Glenda), Donald (Sandy), Timothy (Connie), Patrick (Debbie), Lisa Huber (Mark); son-in-laws, Jerry Naville, Sr., Don Engle; sisters, Phyllis Smallwood, Linda Steinbrenner (Mike Seng), Sandy Pinnick (Ralph Jr.); sister-in-laws, Mary Becht, Martha Engle, Barbara Missi; 29 grandchildren; 65 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren
Along with serving on the Harrison County REMC Board for 17 years, Lucille worked many jobs, but the one she is known best for, was her love for her family. She was one of original organizers of The Floyds Knobs Community Club and the Mount Saint Francis Picnic. Lucille was loved by many!
Visitation will be from 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm Wednesday at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring Street, New Albany, Indiana and 9:00 am to 11:00 am Thursday at St. Mary of the Knobs Church. Her Funeral Mass will be 11:00 am Thursday at St. Mary of the Knobs Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
