MARY JEAN (BANET) SWORD, 79, passed away Monday, June 27, 2016. She was born September 3, 1936 in New Albany, Indiana to the late Maynard and Regina (Skelly) Banet. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Sword, Sr.
Survivors include her sons, Carl Sword, Jr. (Andrea), Eric Sword, and Marc Sword; and grandchildren, Ryan Sword and Brittany Gaunt.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Wednesday, June 29th, at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring Street, New Albany, Indiana. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am Thursday, June 30th, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, New Albany with burial to follow in Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery, New Albany.
