Maxine (Simcox) Emily

Maxine (Simcox) Emily, 93, passed away Sunday, August 19, 2018. The daughter of the late Charles Webster and Russia Maude (Frakes) Simcox, Maxine was born March 11, 1925 in Laconia, Indiana. She was a graduate of Laconia High School and had worked at M. Fine & Son, the Box Factory, and the Census Bureau. She also worked with her husband as a dispatcher for Tri-City Security. Besides spending time with her family, she liked to bowl and play bingo. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Edward M. Emily; son, Danny D. Emily; an infant brother; brothers, Boyd, Royal and Charles Simcox; and sisters, Pauline Evans and Virginia Faith.

Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Evelyn Gaye Emily; grandchildren, David Emily (Tabitha) and Angela Yellina (Tom); and great grandchildren, George Emily, Drew Yellina, and Emily Yellina.

Visitation will be 4 pm ~ 8 pm Friday at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana. Her Funeral Service will be 10 am Saturday in the Kraft Charlestown Road Chapel with private entombment to follow in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.
