Mayme L. Hall Geiger

MAYME L. (HALL) GEIGER, 85, died Saturday, February 18, 2012 at the Hosparus Unit at Norton’s Pavilion in Louisville, Ky. The daughter of the late Willie B. and Mella (Newsom) Hall, Mayme was born November 21, 1926 in Moreland, Ky. She was a long time member of the First Southern Baptist Church in Floyds Knobs, Indiana where she taught Sunday School for over 40 years. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl E. Geiger, Jr. and a sister, Mae Burdette.

Survivors include her children, Carl “Rick” Geiger, Mark A. Geiger, Karen Lee Geiger, Jeff W. Geiger (Katherine) and Linda Geiger (Derek Dutton); sisters, Marie Burress, Mabel Warren, Margie Wininger (Darrel) and Margaret Hawkes; grandchildren, Katie, Kelly, Joshua, Kaitlyn and Joseph Geiger, Taylor, Celia and Aiden Dutton, and Greyson Kern and Holden Geiger.

Visitation will be from 12:00 pm ~ 8:00 pm Thursday and after 10:00 am Friday at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring Street, New Albany, IN. Her Funeral Service will be 11:00 am Friday in the Kraft Spring Street Chapel with private burial in Cave Hill Cemetery, Louisville, KY.
