Michael "Mike" Edward Fischer passed on July 5, 2026, at the age of 79, and was a resident of New Albany, Indiana. Mike was born in New Albany, Indiana, on January 11, 1947, to the late Frank Edward Fischer and Edith Gertrude (Cox) Fischer. Mike was a proud service technician as Indiana Bell changed companies multiple times and eventually retired from Southwest Bell.
Mike is preceded in death by his parents and his loving wife, Marcia (Witt) Fischer.
Mike is survived by his sister, Sandra "Sandy" Tanner (Jim); niece, Angie Metzmeier (Bryan), and their children, Tanner and Abby; his step-son, Erik Pender (Rebecca); his grandchildren, Benjamin Pender (Kristina), Max Pender (Caroline), Ella Pender, Elena Pender, and Mason Pender; and his great-grandson, Luke.
Mike's wishes were to be cremated and for his arrangements to be handled by Kraft Funeral Service, New Albany, Indiana.
His wishes were also for a Celebration of Life to be held at a later date for his family and friends.
