Michael Scott Jones, age 62, of New Albany, Indiana passed away on July 8, 2024. He was born on April 3, 1962 to the late Geraldine (Wilson) and Arnold Jones. He recently learned that he had terminal cancer and tried to enjoy the rest of his life as best as he could.
Mike was born and lived most of his life in New Albany, Indiana. He lived simply and found joy in the same places that many do. He played baseball, and later in life, he played on softball teams. He loved golf and horse racing. He loved Busch Lite and having a good time. He hated Donald Trump.
Mike is survived by his daughter, Brittany Bielasiak (Jones), her husband, Eli, and their daughter, Ava; and his sister, Beth. He is preceded in death by his parents, Geraldine "Jeri" Jones (1942-2017) and Arnold Jones (1934-2022). His parents were always there for him, and he felt lost without them.
A memorial service will be scheduled for a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to his daughter, Brittany, are graciously appreciated to help pay for his final arrangements. Donations can be given to Kraft Funeral Service. She hopes to have him entombed with his parents at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany, Indiana.
