Michael W. Owen, 69, of Louisville formerly of New Albany, passed away August 7, 2019 at Jewish Hospital. He was born on July 6, 1950 at Camp LeJeune, North Carolina to the late Donald L. and Bertha Emalee Owen. He recently retired from Joseph & Joseph Architects and was formerly with Michell, Timperman, Ritz Architects and Potter & Cox Architects.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Arthur "Rusty" Rogge.
He is survived by his life partner of 22 years, Mary Annette Biszmaier; a son, Jeremy Owen; step-daughters, Dawn Groulx (the late Art) and Tammy Beam (John); grandchildren, Dylan, Jackson and Sara Owen, Renee and Justin Groulx and Sean and Conner Beam; and a brother, Ronald E. Johnson.
A service to celebrate his life will be conducted at 10:00 am on Saturday, August 10, 2019 at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road with burial in Kraft Graceland Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 2-8 on Friday, August 9, 2019 at the funeral home.
