MILDRED DYE MCCART, 91, died peacefully at home on Sunday, December 28, 2014 surrounded by her children and loved ones. She was born March 27, 1923 to the late Clarence Edward and Sula Iola Atkinson Dye. Mildred retired from Sears Roebuck and Company in Atlanta, Georgia in 1986 and moved to Clarksville, Indiana in 1994. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin G. McCart; children, Joyce Saliba and Jerry McCart; grandson, Brian Allen Mills; and eleven siblings.
Survivors include her children, Miles McCart (Savannah), Joan Mills (Robert) and Miriam Stagg; sister, Clara Baldwin; 10 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and 6 great great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 4:00 pm ~ 8:00 pm Tuesday at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring Street, New Albany. Her Funeral Service will be 11:00 am Wednesday in the Kraft Spring Street Chapel with entombment to follow in Walnut Ridge Cemetery, Jeffersonville IN.
