I'm sorry to admit that I just now discovered Milt Lamm's obituary. I'm stunned and saddened. Milt was one of the most important influences in my life - as mentor, advisor, and beloved friend. I have always cherished our friendship through his exquisite meals, his infectious laugh, and his self-assured "can-do" attitude. His constant, engaging smile said it all. I feel lucky to have known him and to be a recipient of his selfless, gregarious soul. The unique twinkle in Milt's eye calmed all fears. I will always feel indebted to him and Jeanne, Patti, Ray, and Jane for making me feel loved beyond measure. Rest in peace, my dear friend. You remain in my heart like the finest gold.

Ray, I am so sorry to learn of the loss of your Dad. We were in Autumn Woods the other night visiting my Dad when I noticed your Dad's name was not on his room door and I wondered what had happened. Please know that you and your family have my heartfelt sympathy.

Mr. Lamm rescued me in the big ice storm of 1971. I got caught on Cherry St Hill and walked to their house. Milt got the tow truck driver out of the shower to pull me out and then Milt followed me home in his car. When I hesitated on a curve he came from behind and gently pushed me back on track. I always knew he and Jeanne had my back and that was a wonderful place to be.
