Mona Catherine Lewen

Mona Catherine Lewen, 73, of New Albany, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, November 6, 2024. Mona was born in New Albany, Indiana on December 2, 1950, to the late John L. Maymon and Catherine E. Hoffman Maymon. She was a member of St. Mary of the Annunciation Catholic Church. She enjoyed sewing, baking, quilt making and playing cards with her family.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two sisters, Kim Maymon and Shanon Maymon.

Mona is survived by her husband, Robert A. Lewen Jr.; four children, Dustin Lewen (Mary), Douglas Lewen (Wendy), Greg Lewen (Nikkita) and Liz Lewen (Savannah); grandchildren, Charly Jo Storkman (Max), Leslie Taylor Lewen, Douglas B. Lewen Jr. (Savannah), Chayce Lee McNew (Caleb), Martin W. Lewen, Abby Gayle Lewen, Lilian C. Lewen, Lana Lewen, Liberty Lewen and Liam Lewen; four great grandchildren, Bowen Storkman, Ace McNew, Octavia Lewen and Ezra Lewen; siblings, Rhonda Eckert (Bob), John Michael Maymon (Sue), Joe Maymon (Kim),The Most Rev. Mark Maymon, Archbishop of Philadelphia and the Diocese of E. Pennsylvania and Pat Maymon (Carol); and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Monday, November 11, 2024 from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana 47150.

Funeral Mass will be conducted at 10:00 am on Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at St. Mary of the Annunciation Catholic Church, 415 E. 8th Street, New Albany, Indiana 47150 with entombment to follow in Kraft Graceland Memorial Park.
