Norbert Schindler, 84 years of age died Friday, November 4, 2011 at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville. Norbert was born December 25, 1926 in New Albany, Indiana to the late Clyde and Martha Schindler. He retired from General Electric, was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Clarksville, Knights of Columbus in Jeffersonville, 50 year member of the Optimist Club in Clarksville, and served as a past president of the Clarksville Planning and Zoning Board.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Ann Elliott Schindler; son, Brad Schindler (Jacqueline); daughter, Phyllis Endris (Nathan); brother, Jack Schindler (Hermaline); granddaughters, Meredith and Jaclyn Endris
Visitation will be from 2:00 pm ~ 8:00 pm Monday at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana. His Funeral Mass will be 10:00 am Tuesday at St. Anthony’s Church, 316 N. Sherwood Ave., Clarksville. The family requests expressions of sympathy be made to the Humane Association of Clark County or St. Anthony’s Church.
